“Resurgent Rajasthan” to be held next year – CM asks for special focus on core sectors

Jaipur, 16 September. To attract investors in Rajasthan the ‘Resurgent Rajasthan’ summit will be held in Jaipur next year in the month of October-November. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting here at Chief Minister’s office on Tuesday.

Smt. Raje asked to focus on core sectors and thrust areas like Textiles, Mining and Minerals, Non-Conventional Energy, Tourism, Ceramics and Electronics during the Resurgent Rajasthan. She said there are abundant possibilities of investment in Rajasthan and we need to create a roadmap to work on it.

The Chief Minister asked to reduce window clearance to minimum and completion of task in a time-bound manner to make the process of investment easier.

Principal Secretary Industry Smt. Veenu Gupta gave a presentation regarding the event and said a land bank is being created to provide facility to the investors. RIICO will also acquire land, she said. The state government has brought the new solar policy and new mining policy is on roll.

Members of the Chief Minister’s Advisory Committee Smt. Mira Mehrishi, Shri Manish Sabharwal, Shri Mohan Das Pai and Shri P. P. Pareek also gave important suggestions to promote investment in the state.

Chief Secretary Shri Rajiv Mehrishi, Additional Chief Secretary Infrastructure Shri C S Rajan, Principal Secretary Finance Shri P. S. Mehra, Secretary Planning Shri Akhil Arora and Commissioner Bureau of Investment Promotion Shri Naveen Mahajan were present in the meeting.
