Chief Minister launches the plant expansion of Ahlcon Parenterals in Bhiwadi

Jaipur, November 18. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that along with creation of economic infrastructure the government is focusing on delivery of quality education and health care services.

Smt. Raje was addressing the inauguration ceremony of LVP and SBP expansion of Ahlcon Parenterals India Ltd. at Bhiwadi on Tuesday. She pointed out that the magnitude of the challenge in the public health care systems was immense. “With only 1 doctor per 2000 population, there is an immediate need to add more capacity”, she said. She informed the gathering that the state government is taking steps for opening more government medical colleges and seven more medical colleges would increase the present capacity of 1400 MBBS seats in the state to 2100.

CM, Raje made mention of the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Make in India’ and said that it is a matter of pleasure that high-tech life saving items like Parenterals are being manufactured in India. Partnership with such high-tech areas would help the domestic health care sector build capacities and also had a bearing on local skills, she said. Chief Minister, Raje assured Industry of the government’s support in investment in medical education and manufacturing and also said that the government seeks sharing of expertise so that the citizens of Rajasthan can lead a better quality of life.

Addressing the gathering Smt. Raje said that the government had a major role to play in disease prevention and prophylaxis. “Life style and non communicable diseases are a drain on resources and it is important to educate masses on the prevention of diseases”.

Smt. Raje said it is important that Rajasthan positions itself as a good investment destination and in order to do so the state government is making procedures to set up business in the state simpler She referred to the employment oriented reforms through changes in labor laws and also mentioned to the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, 2014.

Smt. Raje congratulated Ahlcon Parenterals and their partner B.Braun on the expansion and thanked the business community for their continued fait in Prime Minister’s Modi’s call for localizing manufacturing.

Smt. Raje said that one extremely important area of intervention for her government was to improve employability of the youth and giving them skills in various trades so that they were readily picked-up by modern businesses. “We have set a target of creating 1.5 million employment opportunities in 5 years. I believe that this unit shall undoubtedly help create remunerative livelihoods,” she said.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of B.Braun Group Prof. L.G. Braun said that many changes have been witnessed in India recently and these changes created a lot of hope for the investors. “There are encouraging singns for those who have decided to invest here,” he said. Ms. Anna Braun, President – Asia Pacific of the firm delivered a vote of thanks.

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Shri Hem Singh Bhadana, Alwar MP Mahant Chandnath, MLAs Shri Maman Singh & Shri Ramhet Singh Yadav, Director General, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce Bernhard Steinruecke, Chariman Ahlcon Parenterals India Ltd. Shri Anand Chandrashekhar Apte, Managing Director, Ahlcon Parenterals India Ltd. Shri Arun Mudgal and other dignitaries were present on this occasion. Before inaugurating the expansion unit of the plant Smt. Raje did a tour of the facility.
