Announcements Made by Chief Minister and Union Minister

Jaipur, December 13. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje and the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari and the Union Minister of State for Energy Shri Piyush Goyal made several announcements for development of Rajasthan while addressing a public rally at Janpath near State Assembly on Saturday on the occasion of first anniversary of her assuming office in the government.

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje announced for:

  • Recruitment for new cadre of ‘Shiksha Sahayak’ under new rules and regulations keeping in view the complications in earlier recruitment processes.
  • Interest-free loan scheme for farmers from cooperative banks to continue.
  • Service Records of the employees to be computerized.
  • Solar Park with capacity of 700 MW to be set-up at Badla (Jodhpur) under Phase-II. Two solar parks of 1000 MW capacity each in joint venture at Badla under Phase-3 and in Jaisalmer.
  • Rivers to be interlinked under Four Waters Concept. Water Grid to be set up for drinking water. A new Act to constitute River Basin Authority.
  • Ambedkar Peeth in Mundala (Jaipur) to be revived.
  • Construction of Gramin Gaurav Paths at all 2,154 Gram Panchayat headquarters spending Rs. 1,113 crore to be completed.

Announcements by Shri Nitin Gadkari:

  • A Dry Port would be set up in Rajasthan to work as a Satellite Port.
  • All works on Delhi-Jaipur Highway to be completed till June 2015.
  • Work for Kota-Jhalawar Road to start within 15 days after receipt of environmental clearance.
  • More road development works worth Rs. 10,000 crore to be taken up in next one year.
  • Central government ready to give permission to develop Sea Port and aeroplanes with capability of landing in water bodies.
  • To provide the facility of getting cement bags at the rate of Rs. 120 per bag (Tax & Transportation Charge Separate) for developing cement concrete roads in Rajasthan.

Announcements by Shri Piyush Goyal:

  • Central government to lay transmission lines by spending Rs. 12,000 crore.
  • To give Rs. 5000 crore as grant and Rs. 5000 crore in the form of loan during the next three years to improve power sector in the state.
  • To install LED lamps for streetlights 10 cities of the state under the Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation Scheme.
  • Grant of Rs. 183 crore from the central government for up-gradation of power sub-stations.
  • To get 4,950 toilets constructed in 2,785 schools.
