Bhamashah Scheme Will Ensure Transparency Transfer Of Benefits – Chief Minister

Jaipur, January 30. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that the state government initiated Bhamashah Scheme to transfer cash and non-cash benefits to all eligible beneficiaries with full transparency. Registration camps are being organized for this scheme since August 16, 2014 in which 55 lakh families have been nominated.

Smt. Raje was addressing a pre-budget consultancy meeting with the representatives of the non-government organizations, civil society and consumer forums at Convention Hall in the Chief Minister’s Office on Friday. She said that the state government wanted the State Budget to be more inclusive for and this series of consultations were the part of that process.

The CM said that the state was progressing well in skill development. For its excellent work in employment and skill development Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation had been recently awarded with a gold trophy by Union Government and the Assocham. She reiterated her promise of providing employment opportunities to 15 lakh youths. This would be possible only through skill development, she said.

Smt. Raje said that the government job was not the only opportunity for employment. In present time, better opportunities were available for a skilled and expert person in different sectors elsewhere. She pointed out that several non-government agencies were doing commendable work employment, skill entrepreneurship and social sectors. The state government needed more from these organizations, she added.

The CM said that for the first time the state government had constituted the Consumer Advisory Council so that the consumer could get more information and awareness about their rights.

Representatives of various agencies, non-government organizations, civil society and consumer forum working for different sectors like woman and child development, women workers, environment and wildlife conservation, minorities welfare, girl child education, specially-abled persons welfare, tribal welfare and consumer rights shared their ideas and suggestions during the meeting. The CM took note of all such suggestions, gave her comments on important points and kept the dialogue going.

Tribal Area Development Minister Shri Nand Lal Meena, Health Minister Shri Rajendra Rathore, Social Justice & Empowerment Minister Shri Arun Chaturvedi, Food & Civil Supplies Minister Shri Hem Singh Bhadana, Minister of State for Education Shri Vasudeo Devnani, Chief Secretary Shri C.S. Rajan, Principal Secretary Finance Shri PS Mehra, additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, secretaries and other officials of different government departments were also present in the meeting.
